Our second snow!

On December 26, 2012 we got our first snow of the year... To the time of about 12 inches! It was a true snow day with a house full of kids, a couple of adults and all the goodies... Chili, soup, hot chocolate and munches. We got our second snow last night and into the early morning hours.... About 6 inches! The snow plow came out around 7:30 to clear the road a bit. Here is my Sleepy Santa that I painted over 20 years ago.... He's one of my favorites! Also you can see more of the North Pole village. The tiny houses have so much detail! The little elves can be seen working to get everything ready! The snow in the village could be all we see... It has been pretty nice here!

My mantle...

I have seen so many beautiful mantles in blog land! I have done mine the same since we have been on Redbird Lane. We have so many of the Dept 56 houses I don't even display all of them, but we always use the North Pole Village and that is what is on the mantle... More pictures later on!

Dickens Festival

We travelled this weekend to Nashville,TN and then went to Franklin where they had a huge Dickens Festival. The day started rainy but ended up a beautiful day! There were lots of people dressed in period clothing ... So much fun

The Capitol Christmas Tree

We went to the Rams game a couple of weeks ago and got to see the Capitol Christmas Tree. It was on its way to the Capitol in DC. This was one of the coolest things I've ever seen!
